NSGSV Vortex

The NSGSV (nano singularity gravity-surfing vessel) "Vortex" is built around an artificial singularity - an entity so dense and heavy, that it is capable to propel the ship from galaxy to galaxy by the warping the space around it.

The ship's gigantic core is shielded (yeah, I know you can't shield from gravity but let's have some fun!) to protect the rest of the ship from its disastrous influence. But when the shields are partially lowered, the space is warped and the vessel travels in the desired direction.

Needless to say, nearby celestial bodies are affected as well - this is the reason why this colossus is only allowed into uninhabited systems. Since its large mass distorts time-space it is also capable of superluminar travel.
