Fleeting Encounter

The elusive Cermàen, or as they are often called -- Kees-bàelar (whiskered-floater) are huge airborne creatures, somewhat akin to a fish. It is considered a great luck and extreme rarity to meet one up close, though on a clear day one can sometimes see them floating far above, solitary or in twos or threes.

They depend largely on lightwater to keep themselves afloat, and are usually seen near the jetsprings of Erih-Nurus, though they are known to migrate large distances, which is somewhat of a mystery. The creatures usually feed on huge quantities of insects, or an occasional unlucky bird.
As all the other syntonic animals, they have inherited two pairs of eyes; the second one is presumed to be weave-sensitive, however, whether it is still functional is not known.
